We had an interesting summer. First off, this was the first summer since leaving New York that we had strong thunderstorms! I love thunderstorms and Long Guyland has great ones given the strong humidity and high temperatures. This year, we got hit hard; losing power and even lost a few minor appliances from the power surge (does anyone really care when your phone is KO'd? We also lost a VCR. (What's a VCR? )
We visited MA, VT, and several locations in Maine. We had a lot of fun swimming and with two weeks vacation, caught up on some strongly needed sleep.
It was great seeing family and I even met a young neice I had never known before...Rory, 4. What a cutie full of life!
My New Year's Resolution to play guitar every day is still in place. Up to 235 straight days....still going strong!
We have the American Folk Festival this weekend in Bangor. The Bangor Waterfront has been beautifully restored and although the weather is hot, it should still be a good time. (we were getting used to temps in the 40's by morning...great Maine sleeping weather!)
