Ryan Ferguson Case: Public Request
Statement Analysis of Ryan Ferguson's interview shows a strong denial, as well as highlight a poorly conducted interview. However, the sample is small.
If you feel that he should have another trial, consider what follows. If you feel that the guilty party is behind bars, please ignore what follows.
We received this email, and due to the poorly conducted interview, we have decided to make the family's request public. Please let your conscience be your guide.

We wanted to send out a reminder that this is the week of our writing campaign. If you have already written letters we thank you immensely for taking the time to do this for Ryan. His lawyer, Kathleen Zellner, will be sitting down with the prosecutor from the Attorney General's office and the judge assigned to the case (Judge Green) on April 26th. That is why we felt this was a good time to flood their offices with letters asking them to take action to right this terrible injustice. Even though we targeted yesterday as the day to mail out letters, anytime over the next week would be fine.
If you were thinking of writing but aren't sure exactly what to say we're copying a letter below that you can use. Just paste it into your own document, add your name, return address and signature and mail it out or send it as a fax. We're including the mailing addresses again. Several people have alerted us to the fact that one of the email addresses for the Attorney General did not work. The one to use if you are emailing your letter is listed below. But as we suggested in our original email, we prefer they receive letters through the postal system or letters that are faxed directly to their offices. Below the addresses you will find a copy of the sample letter.
Through this campaign we hope to send the message that lots of people are following this case and ask that they either free Ryan now or at the very least grant him a habeas hearing.
Thank you so much for your help with this campaign. With many letter pouring in we feel it will be impossible for them to continue to ignore a nation's concern over how this case has been handled. Your help is greatly appreciated.

SAMPLE LETTER
Dear Governor Nixon, Or put Attorney General Chris Koster
I am a concerned citizen writing to ask you to take steps in your position as Governor or Attorney General to help free Ryan Ferguson. He was convicted in 2005 for the murder of Kent Heitholt even though there has never been any physical evidence tying him to the crime. DNA from the crime scene did not match, the bloody footprints did not match and fingerprints taken from the scene did not match. And now, the only two witnesses who testified against Ryan during the trial have admitted to perjury and acknowledge that Ryan had nothing to do with this crime.
I urge you to take a look at the facts in this case and set Ryan free or at the very least grant him the right to a new trial. There is so much reasonable doubt associated with this case that one cannot help but wonder how this travesty happened in the first place. Now with new evidence the state's case has completely fallen apart.
It is time to stop this insanity, Free Ryan Ferguson and get on with the task of finding the real murderers.
Thank you for your immediate attention to this matter.
Respectfully,
An innocent young man has been sent to prison for a murder he did not commit. Please visit the website below for information about this case. www.freeryanferguson.com
You can write directly to Ryan at the address below. All letters must have a return address in order to be delivered and cannot contain anything other than the letter or card and up to 3 photographs.

evrli - I have been checking out the Holly Bobo missing case too
you asked Peter - did the bro do it?
I wondered same thing, but now as I read more news reports off google, there seem to be conflicting reports that say both mother and brother witnessed the abduction and the mother's pleas seem genuine.
Scaredmonkeys is also reporting mother and brother witnessed, see here:

SO much evil in the world, I am overwhlemed with it today.
I am sending my letter regarding Ryan Ferguson to the AG today Peter - if it were my son, I would want this reinvestigated. Thanks for the post.
Ryan is guilty as sin.
Does Ryan have a statement that can be analyzed first?
Just found it - ooops and thanks! lol
Hi Peter,
Thank you for doing this. I've written letters to the attorney general and the governor. From the first time I saw this story, I knew Ryan was innocent and I couldn't believe he was convicted in the first place - on "dream" testimony! I have the utmost respect for law enforcement, but in this case, I think their actions were shameful. They spoon fed details to Chuck, who obviously had some mental issues and didn't even know details of the crime. That really should have clued them in, but they just wanted to wrap up the case. With the recent developments, I hope Ryan can finally be released.
I read about this case at the time as it is fairly local for me and I kind of remember the 48 hours take on it, but all just vaguely.
I read up here at SA last night and a bit more around the net and just bottom line don't feel confident enough with the information to write a letter for re-trial/innocence.
I'd love to see Peter's take. Did RF give any kind of statement/interview that could be analyzed?
